Sheena is a lover of life. You can usually find her smiling her way through the day and finding joy in the littlest things. She was born and raised in Vermont and feels alive and refreshed each time the season's change. Well..maybe not mud season. She's an avid backpacker, traveler, cat mama, pretend cook, and expert bath taker. She enjoys mountain biking, paddleboard escapades, snowboarding, and toodling around in her gardens. She worships the sun and all of it's glory!
Sheena practiced Tai Chi for 3 years and then fell in love with yoga from the moment she learned how to balance and breathe at the same time on her mat. The process of learning to do something challenging, and consciously choosing to stay calm and breath was enough to reel her into the practice for what she knew would be a life long journey. She enrolled in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training just 6 months after doing her first sun salutation and completed this training in 2013. After teaching for a year, Sheena completed an additional 300 hour Comprehensive Yoga Therapy program at the YogaLife Institute in Exeter, NH. She then went on to complete a 50 hour Yin Yoga Training with Biff Mithoefer in 2017. She has taken trainings and workshops with world renowned teachers Jason Crandell and Dylan Werner and continues to further her knowledge and understanding of yoga through trainings, workshops, teaching, and consistent practice. In 2020 Sheena completed another 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandell.
Her travels have brought her all over the world including to India where she studied Eastern Philosophy, Art, Buddhism, and meditation. Sheena holds a Bachelor's degree in Wellness and Alternative Medicine and is also a part-time dental hygienist. She lives with her husband and two rascally cats in rural VT.
